Well, I haven't been up to anything recently. But tomorrow I'm leaving to go on a trip with my grandma again. (I obviously didn't learn from last time. >-<) Hopefully this time will be better, but I don't know. Anyway, we're going to Gulf Shores, Alabama. It's like... A 6 hour drive from my house so Grandma's coming up here today to spend the night and we're leaving tomorrow at 6, apparently. >>;; I won't be back until next saturday and there's no internet down there so I won't be able to check any of my emails or anything like that. ;-;
The good thing about this is that I'm driving down there and back so I'll have like 700 extra miles of driving practice when I get back. XD
Oh, oh! Mom bought me a Death Note shirt on thursday! =D I'm wearing it now and I love it! X3 It's white and it has a black and white picture of L, Light, and Ryuk on it with the Death Note logo and it's bordered with skulls. =3 I wub it! x3
I ended up having to get it in a large though. They only had two left and they were a large and a XL. I don't mind though 'cause I like oversized shirts. =3
Ummm, there's nothing much else for me to say... Oh! What do you guys think of my new icon!? XD I made it using a anime face maker on dA. The creator said that they don't care if people use the images so I was like, "Yes! I'll make some animations with it! =D"
It does have an uncanny resemblance to me, yeah? XD I also made a chibi one that I'll use on the next entry I make, =3

Don't get me wrong, I've been motivated! I'm glad! xD I was starting to sort of slow down with my studies and complete failure in a conversation has made me want to try harder! I've been doing Japanese Pod 101 reviews, I've been playing My Japanese Coach, I'm using a SMS to help me remember words and kanji, I've turned every site that I'm joined to Japanese, and I've made an account on Ameblo where I'll be typing journal entries in Japanese. xD
Well, now I know what to do next time I get lazy with it! Make plans with Masato to voice chat and allow myself to completely humiliate myself. xDD;;
I've got to get back to doing my weekly white board stuff, but ever since I went to my grandma's, I've completely gotten out of the habit. I suck. XD
Oh! Also, I'm trying to find people who I can voice chat in Japanese with on Skype or MSNM. o-o I want to become more comfortable with speaking and I want to have good pronunciation! Dx
Luckily, Masato completely understood my nervousness. xD;; I told him that it was like... All the Japanese I have ever learned suddenly evaporated. ._.;
Apparently, he was very nervous as well so he understood what I meant and he wants to talk with me again now that the whole "first time" awkwardness has worn off. ^-^;

Anyway, the storyline is good as well. I normally don't like vampire stories (It's not that I don't like vampires, it's just that stories about them are usually very repetitive, mary-sue-ish, and boring. =/), but this is very interesting to me. I mean, a story about a school where vampires and humans can co-exist is pretty unique, right? I've never heard of anything like that before anyway. Point is, I really liked this manga. xD
I can't exactly say that I like any character in particular. They all have distinct character traits that make them very likeable so it'll probably be a while before I can single out one character in particular. xD;;
I really liked a lot of the minor characters though. Shiki, Akatsuki, and Aidou are really likeable. xD; But I also really liked the main characters. Yuuki, Zero, and Kaname are great characters so I can't choose between the three of them. xD;; I can't even decide if I'd rather Yuuki with Kaname or Yuuki with Zero. It's almost as bad as when I tried to decide Touru and Kyou or Touru and Yuki back in my early Fruits Basket days. xD;
I actually thought that Yuuki would end up with Zero because it seems like the stand-off-ish guys that pretend that they don't care normally end up with the girl, but it seems that Kaname has stolen her. XD; It's not like it matters 'cause, like I said before, either way is fine, but it leaves me feeling bad for Zero. Poor guy...
I've never actually read a series that was still being released in Japan so I've never had to wait for the next installment... It's about to kill me waiting for this one even though I just reached the latest chapter today. X-X I'm so impatient. XD;;
